Post Layout (Global Post Type)
The Post Layout setting allows you to choose a single layout style that will be applied to all posts across your website.


This is a global setting and affects every post page.
You can configure this from:
Ghost Admin → Design → Customize → Post Layout
Available layout options:
Default
Full width image
Image overlay
Table of contents
Split view
No image post
How It Works
When you select a layout style:
The chosen layout is applied to all post pages
No per-post configuration is required
The design remains consistent across your website
Changing the layout will automatically update the appearance of all existing and future posts.
Available Layout Styles
1️⃣ Default
Standard blog layout with featured image above the content and normal content width.
Best for general blogs and news websites.
2️⃣ Full Width Image
Displays the featured image across the full width of the screen for a more immersive visual experience.
Best for photography, travel, and visual storytelling.
3️⃣ Image Overlay
Displays the post title and metadata over the featured image for a modern hero-style presentation.
Best for feature stories and editorial content.
4️⃣ Table of Contents
Automatically generates a table of contents based on post headings (H2, H3).
Best for long-form articles, tutorials, and guides.
5️⃣ Split View
Displays featured image and content in a split-screen layout (side-by-side on desktop).
Best for design-focused blogs and case studies.
6️⃣ No Image Post
Removes the featured image and focuses entirely on text content.
Best for minimal blogs, essays, and text-heavy articles.
